  1. I was just hired as a CM with no experience 6 months ago. My background is Behavioral Health. I will email you a copy of my resume. I just looked at the skills they wanted and the job description and pulled what they needed from my job duties. Received a lot of calls right after I tweaked my resume!
  2. It is a M-F 8-5 job. They said the on-call (beeper) will be for after hours emergencies with foster kids. She really didn't understand what our duties would be besides having a beeper but they hired 10 case managers so it wouldn't be just me!! So, I'm still confused...
  3. Thanks for the replies. I emailed the interviewer and she said she had never hear about it and will check on it and get back with me!!! Kind of unorganized so I will see what they say and will definately get everything in writing if I accept the position!!!
  4. I received an offer from Amerigroup as a Behavioral Health Case Manager. Hours M-F 8:00am-5:00pm, it will be a work from home field position. I have to go to client's homes. However, the human resources lady asked me is I was informed about the on call duties. I did see the 24/7 on call listed on the job discriptions but wasn't told about it in the interview and didn't think to ask about it. Is it common to have 24/7 on call duties? Should I be compensated or just have to deal with it because I will be salaried? Should I be paid for mileage since we are traveling to homes? I want this job but very nervous about being over over worked!!!
  5. Just an Update. I didn't get the job, but I did get an offer from Amerigroup!!
  6. Sorry, can't figure out how to pm you!! Could you pm me please
  7. I make sure my documentation is on point at my actual job, this info was just for this posting and I didn't spell check, sorry for the typos. My face-to-face interview is today, so nervous but excited. Thanks for all the responses.
  8. I can't Private Message yet, so just some info on the Virtual interview through HireVue. Questions: 1. What are your strengths? Taylor to the job duties listed!! 2. Name a time when you had to make a decision without all the information 3. Job for last 3-5 years, reasons you left, coworkers, and responsibilities 4. Name a time when you had to teach someone something in a different way because they couldn't understand (or something like that) 5. Can't remember the last one:nailbiting: They tell you not to Prepare, PREPARE!! They tell you to dress casual, I had on a nice black button down shirt and light makeup. Couldn't see the bottoms, so had on some jeans and no shoes . I made sure my lighting was really good and the area behind me simple and not distracting. Do the practice questions!!! I thing one of them was a question! You can practice as long as you want, it is just like the real deal. When I first practiced, I thought my voice was too loud, but when I played it back it was too soft. Personality, I made sure I smiled a lot and showed my personality. Use the STAR method to answer the question. Situation, Task, Action, Result. They give you 1-3 minutes to answer, make it short and sweet so you won't start rambling on (like me when I get nervous) When you answer the scenario questions, tailor your answer to the job duties listed. Big Yes!!! I thought I was terrible, but I looked nice and I showed personality, so if you don't think you did your best there is still hope!!!
  9. I received my call today. She was only 5 minutes late, so not too bad. She didn't even ask me about benefits, she did ask what I'm making now and what salary I want. I used the same salary I put on the application, she said that it Is within what they are planning to offer (should have went a little higher, ) She told me she is referring me to the hiring manager and either I will have another telephone interview or a in person interview, depending on the schedule. She stated I will here back from them within 1 1/2 weeks. She also stated that there is only one opening for this position; which is a work from home job, but she just posted another job in the office and would I be interested in that job (basically if I didn't get this one), it is a UM job with 3 openings, I said of course!! So we will see, wish me luck!!!
  10. Do they let recruiters hire people? I thought the recruiter would send it to the hiring manager so they can conduct an in person interview? So confused, well, I fill find out today, my interview is in 2 hours! Wish me luck and thanks for replying!! Also, My status says "initial screening".
  11. So I applied for a Behavioral Health Care Advocate Position with United HealthCare. The next day 1 received a call from the recruiter about a mistake on my answers to one of the questions, so I changed the answer and was sent a link to complete a video interview. Completed the video interview (hated it)!!! I thought I sucked so bad thought they would change my status to "No Longer Under Consideration":crying2: However, I received an email congratulating me on getting a phone interview. The email states that they are giving me a benefits brochure to help me prepare for the interview. The interview is with the same recruiter that I spoke with before. Is this normal? I thought the interview would be about my experience not benefits!!!
  12. Hi shelbee. I am a RN but they also hire LPNs. It is a state government job. With great state benefits. I've never worked at a for profit psych facility but in my opinion (and it is just an opinion) LOUISIANA state hospitals pay more than for profit, especially for RNs. I don't know your state or the facility but make sure you shadow before taking an offer. I've heard some horror stories about psych facilities. At my facility they treat the nurses (LPN and RN) like GOLD. Safety! Safety! Safety!
  13. I work at a state mental health hospital. My base pay is $22.11. (not including the extra $2 just for working there). The pay is based on experience. In the hospital the base pay is $20.00 for everyone. In the hospital i worked telemetry days for 10 months straight out of school. Never had a chance to sit down let along think. Now i work psych nights and have too much time to think. Not that i'm complaining . I make $30(including shift diffs) and on weekends i make $37. My income increased by $1200/month and my stress level went back to normal. Did i forget to say I love my job:loveya:? I live in Louisiana; cost of living is low.
