  1. Dear Mandarn7272, I have about 8 years+ of tele experience and the transition to the ER is challenging BUT it is completely doable. Please remember that when ever an RN moves from one department to another there is the challenge of coming from a position of expert to low man/woman on the totem pole. ASK lots of questions and believe in yourself. Begin a journal of what you've learned and add to it every evening. You may feel more confident in 4 more months but the skill level you are seeking may take 2 years so make it the best experience possible. I hope this helps. Best, Virtual RN
  2. Hi Lookforward, sounds like having a scheduled plan with built in rest and fun is needed. When I was in nursing school I would take every opportunity to bring my work and training together. So if I had an assignment that was with several diabetics I took advantage of that for writing a paper or outlining a care plan. Does that sound reasonable? Desiree
  3. Hi TrixieLPN- Do you have to include the four months with the doctors office? Desiree
  4. Hi Everyone, This is my first time posting. I developed a virtual telephone triage back up position while working for a hospital triage several years ago. After leaving the role of the director I am now missing the pediatric triage. Are you aware of other organizations that hire virtual nurses? I look forward to your answers. All the best, VirtualRN
