  1. the prob is not with the vial it's with the needle and syringe. if I attach the needle I can't draw up the air. If I detach the needle, draw up air, reattach the needle it won't allow me to push the air through.
  2. No, not bulging or sunk. I have two syringes with the needle that's giving me the same problem. I've tried everything. The first step to get the medication is to draw up air to inject in the vial, but when I try to draw up the air the plunger just pops back in place.
  3. syringe and needle help! when I try to pull on the plunger to draw up air the plunger suddenly sucks back in. If I detach the needle, draw up the air, I can't push the air through. When I do try to draw up the medication from the vial, I get nothing and again the plunger just quickly sucks back in. What am I doing wrong? I can't get air in or medication out of the vial. This happens with both the 1 1/2 inch and 5/8 inch needle and syringe. I have no problem drawing up air when I detach the needle or use the adaptor, but once the needle is on it's impossible. I know for the IM/Subq I'm going to need to know how to do this
  4. Hey Guys I have a problem with drawing up meds in the IM and Subq syringes. Here's what's happening: I go to inject air into the vial, I pull back on the plunger, but the plunger just sucks right back in. So I detach the needle pull back the air I want, reattach the needle, but now the air won't push through the needle and into the vial. What am I doing wrong?
  5. Ok, I sent you a friend request. I don't know how else to send you an email. I've tried but can find the link to email or PM you.
  6. Ok, that sounds great, but how much are the workshops going for? Where did you take the workshop? My CPNE is about two months away and I feel like it's tomorrow.
  7. Fluid Management I can't seem to get it. Even with the mnemonic WIG GAS REAR. I feel that there are several critical elements that are missed. Any suggestions? I am testing in Queens on 12/02/11
  8. Thanx Lunah, These notes are amazing. I can't thank you enough. Anyway approaching the CPNE without first reading these notes are not themselves a favor. Read these notes to have a full and detailed understanding of the CPNE.
  9. How far do you live from Brooklyn, perhaps we can meet up to practice together. I'm scheduled to take the cpne on 12/02/11. Really in need of a study partner.
  10. I know it's been a year since you've passed the cpne, but congrats anyway! I'm scheduled to take the cpne on 12/02/11 and you mention Ivan Harts, but I can't seem to find his notes anywhere. Where should I look? Thank you so much.
