Need advice for night shift
I just started my first job and it's night shift too. It actually is not as bad as I thought it would be... I have been working 3 nights in a row so the night before I stay up until 3ish and then sleep in until 12. The try to nap before work and have a cup of coffee. When I get home from the first night I'll eat a little something and go to bed around 830am. Then I sleep until about 3. Same goes for the next day. Then my last night I'll go to bed when I get home and wake up around 1 to reset my sleep schedule. I also nap during the day usually. I don't have a problem going to bed at night then and might take a benadryl to help. During work I rarely have caffeine. I'll have a can of pop if anything and it helps. Also I try to eat small snacks through out the night if I have time such as fruit, yogurt, granola bar. Hope it works out for you!

First Interview Help
Hello Everyone! I just recently passed my RN boards and now after applying for at least 70 positions I landed my first interview! It is on a multi-specialty med surg floor. From what the recruiter told me the patient population consists of ortho, urology, and neuro. Since this is my first interview I'm very nervous and have no idea what to expect. I will be interviewing with the clinical manager for the unit. What can I expect? What kinds of questions is she likely to ask? How should I prepare? What are good questions to ask her? I want to go in there prepared and stand out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

RN nclex reviews???
I used the Saunders books (one that was a review book of topics with some questions on every topic and another that just had Q and A). They also had cd roms in back of the book for more practice questions that I did. Then about a week before the test I read over the Kaplan review book. I found all of these helpful and have also heard great things about kaplan. They guarantee passing or get your money back.
