We recently started a new process improvement in our ER. We eliminated the waiting room. No patient ever waits. The patient walks in the main doors, is quick registered. A tech (paramedic) vitals the patient, obtains chief complaint, and brings the patient to the back. The charge nurse quick assesses the patient and directs the patient where to go. We have 3 zones, red green and yellow. Red zone is critical patients. Yellow and green are considered fast track patients, or any patient who can sit in a chair. If you want more information, message me. Since starting we have not had to open our waiting room, not one patient has waited to go to a room. We have not been on bypass, we have only had 2 patient leave without being seen in 2 months. Prior to starting we were on bypass 3-4 times a week, had >200 LWBS patients per month.... Amazing redesign, works very well.

Hi all - I have a few questions actually... 1. How long does it usually take for your ATT Letter to come? We are getting ours via email, does that mean it comes faster? 2. How often do they test? Are there a lot of test dates? I have a job offer, but in order to start, we have to have an unofficial pass letter (printed from the website) prior to Feb. 1st. Is this possible???? I hope so!

Hi there to all. I have not heard anything about the USF Program. I can only speak about Lewis University. The majority of people in the college will not have anything positive to say about their program because it is so hard, and the teachers are so mean, and they never help you. Well, the reality is, Lewis has high rankings, it is an amazing program, and I have learned so much. We all complain about everything in the program, but it is organized, it is well planned, it is planned to give us each an incredible experience. The teachers are not mean, they are hard on you. They want you to pass and will not let things slide. If you fail a test, or don't do an assignment, that is your fault. The teacher's will help, they give out their cell phone numbers, home numbers, anything to make sure you pass, but will not do the work for you. Lewis has been such a great experience for me, I have learned so much and will learn so much more as I enter my last semester there. I graduate in December, 2006. I entered the program knowing so much, I was an ER tech for 6 years prior, and I am leaving knowing 100 times more. If you want, message me and we can talk more. Jeremy :monkeydance:

I am not sure if you checked out Lewis University. It is located in Romeoville. They never have a wait list and accept lots of people. I got in to the program my first attempt. The only thing is, it is a 4-year University, so they will have more general education requirements than a 2-year program would have. www.lewisu.edu Hope that helps and best of luck to you! :monkeydance:
