Your job sounds very interesting! You get to learn and do many exciting things. I imagine all that experience will become very helpful when you become a nurse...good for you ! I still haven't heard anything from Gateway, I wonder how much longer. I was really hoping to have something by now. Keep waiting...

Hello there - I've been on the waiting list for 2 years so I was hoping to get in this semester, I'm not getting any youger and for me that is a big deal!!! I still need to take developmental psych so I will be doing that this semester and yeap... I also work as a patient care tech but only part time -I have 3 kids and an a very supportive husband. I am very excited but at the same time very nervous and I know I will be very dissappointed if I don't get in... so I can't wait to find out!!!

Thank you Lori for all the wonderful information and explanations you have provided me with. I have just sent you a PM. Looks like I will have to wait to retake my NLN until the beginning of next year. I will just keep studying and preparing for this test. I really, really want to be a nurse, I hope I am meant for this and the Lord provides me with all I need...and hope is in His will too! Maricarmen :monkeydance:

Hi successful NLN takers! I know this is not the thread for NLN questions but I've been reading your post and you seem to know a lot about it. I would appreciate if you can answer a question for me. I took the NLN this past Aug but scored to low (66%), I am studiyng again to take it in Dec. If I score good would I be able to use this score for the Jan 08 screening deadline? Since it would be the 2nd test within that test period CLC gives you - I hope you know what I mean and are able to help me answer my question. Thank you and good luck to all!

Hello young ladies! Sorry to "but in" like this, but as am reading your posts I cannot help to feel the need to reply. I know God works wonders and He is immensly good but in my case I really don't know if nursing is what He wants me to do. It's been 3 years now since I started working on my nursing career, I started from scratch, I went back to school after 16 yrs of graduating HS. It's been hard but I've had great support from my hubby and my 3 kids, and I thought I was doing fine, I'm done with all my prereqs, until NLN time came and all my hopes were pretty much gone. I've tested 3 times and scored very low. Anyway, my point was that maybe this "nursing" thing is just my desire and not God's. This has become an obsesion! I feel I am trying so hard to become a nurse but maybe this is not for me. I had given up all my hopes and quit studying but talking to one of my sisters gave me a little bit of encouragement and decided to try one more time. I hope I know how to listen to God, after all I want to do His will and not mine. Thank you for listening...

Hello all, hope all are doing well. I've taken the NLN twice, the 1st time did not prepare well so my scores were low. The 2nd time I studied many hours for 4 weeks and I thought I knew the material pretty well, however my scores just came in and my schores still pretty low. Anyone has any suggestions? I've searched the net and found some study guides from a Morrison company but I'm afraid to buy stuff that that won't work. Thank you!
