  1. I am a foreign nurse also from Slovakia. I passed my boards in 2008. I haven't been working since I passed my board exam for family reasons. Now I am ready to get a job and it is so difficult...I don't have any experience in the hospital in USA. So I would suggest you to keep working there until you gain some experience and later you can always find something even better after knowing that you worked in the hospital. Good luck to you!
  2. Thank you for your advice...I know it is harder for me being from another country and to start as a RN on any unit but I do undrestand that therapeutic communication is very important on psych. As a student nurse we didn't have to do much but I really loved it. I really don't know what to do?Which specialty to go in....I feel like I am lost and stuck right now.
  3. I would like to get any advice....as a foriegn nurse I had only psych rotation in USA and I loved so I am considaring to apply for a Psych RN. Is it a good idea? Should I start as a new grad on the diffrent unit? I am scared to go to ICU or med-surg. Please help!!!!!thanks!
  4. I am so happy for you guys!!!!!! CONGRATSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! Enjoy!!!!!!
  5. Thank you guys for all your support! I have been trying to pass this test since August 2007 so over a year. Good luck to all of you! Never give up even after failing(i did fall twice) because one day you will make it like I did.
  6. Hi, I am extremely happy and still can't believe it that I just passed! Let me tell you what I did to pass. It was a long road but it was worth it at the end. I believe not having these review classes I would never pass: 1. enrolled for an online Hurst review it was helpfull to understand the basics and pull everything together 2.kaplan course-knowing the strategy helped me to pick the right answer but without knowing much about the content would not help if not Hurst review 3.practice questions from kaplan, used even exam cram, at least 150Q a day 4.study every day, make a schedule Believe in yourself because if I did it everybody can do it. Why am I saying that? Not knowing english when I came to USA was a challenge for me so I had to study 3 times harder than anybody else but I made it and I am proud to say I am RN!
