Hi. I just took the nclex today (8-22-09) and plan on paying the $7.95 to get the quick results. What is the user name and password the results site is asking for? Thanks in advance.

Kenosha - United Health Systems
I did just graduate and I'm looking for part-time only evenings. I have a 2nd interview tomorrow for the Kenosha campus. It's a 30 min. drive from where I live. There's not alot of traffic on the country roads either. With the shift differential the pay isn't bad. If you don't mind my asking what is the pay for new grads at Condell? Shift differentials??? I'm pretty excited to start!

We got into the CLC Nursing program...now what
hi from a fourth semester student (starting next tuesday). good luck in 3rd semester. you'll be a totally different nursing student by may...trust me. you learn so much this semester. also, many people who were ahead of us told us the second semester was the toughest. the consensus among my fellow classmates is that third has been the toughest so far. you'll all do great and do everything that you can in clinical...foleys, cleaning wounds, etc...

Wh-wh-where'd all the CLC students go?
Micci, when did you take Fleming for Micro? I had her this past spring at night.

Wh-wh-where'd all the CLC students go?
Hi Ladies, third semester gal here. Glad to see you all made it through and continue to have positive energy. 2nd semester cluster exams are really tough. But you can do it! Each rotation goes quick so absorb as much as possible and "live" in that rotation and don't worry about another one until you get there. Geriatrics and Maternity teachers are both awesome!!! The Peds teacher is new and is also very nice as she worked the lab and was a PE assessor for the 2nd semester people. I'm looking forward to third semester. Any heads up?

Waiting for Harper!!
i'm not sure what "points" are but clc requires chemistry and biology before starting and a & p, micro, soc., psych, multicult. communications and humanities credits while you're in the program. 90% of the nursing students take all of the classes prior to starting due to the intensity of the actual nursing classes. once you've met your requirements they accept the top 60 nln scores each semester. rumor has it that there are 400 applicants each semester. not sure if it's true but it's very competitive. good luck.

Waiting for Harper!!
clc's lowest nln score for this semester start was 92

Does anyone know what's involved in working for a school district as an RN? I live in Lake County and would like to know salaries, job outlook, schedules (work during summers???). Thanks.

We got into the CLC Nursing program...now what
hi girls, enjoy your orientation and ask lots of questions. i'm leaving for florida tomorrow (monday) for a vacation before getting back to the grind. that's great that you're all meeting up too. it helps to know other people in your section too. good luck. :onbch:

We got into the CLC Nursing program...now what
you'd be surprised at how many people in my class spent $ on stuff that they didn't use this past semester. plus in clinical, you don't really have a secured place to do your module work and i wouldn't put anything down and walk away. you'll be so busy with your patient you'll never use any of the gadgets or folders.

We got into the CLC Nursing program...now what
i know that you're not doubting me but it was also mentioned by another student who's starting her 3rd semester to wait until orientation. the book list for last semester start was "all messed up" according to the director at orientation. people starting buying books right away and that list is for the whole program. there were mixed up editions on the list as well. many instructors said that this happens every semester with the books. as you may guess, the nursing field is changing constantly with medical/health updates so they change editions constantly. the good thing about this is that whatever edition you start with you'll use throughout the program. it was recommended to you by myself and the other student to wait until orientation to buy the books. also, i doubt that they are changing the curriculum for you guys to do med/surge 1st semester. this thread was started by someone who wanted advice, i'm guessing from anyone who has prior knowledge. i know that you're excited to start but there are quite a few flaws in the program. make notes because you have a huge questionaire to fill out about your experience in the program on the day of the final exam

We got into the CLC Nursing program...now what
you don't need the med/surge book until 3rd semester and by then they'll probably be using a newer edition. it's hard to find the required texts used because editions are changing constantly and people don't sell theirs back because they use them throughout the program.

We got into the CLC Nursing program...now what
there really is no lecture so if you don't have one already you may want to save your money. the "lecture" class is for test taking, getting handouts passed out to you, and group discussion of scenarios pertaining to the modules (class guides). the only "lecture" is the teacher reading the power point to you that is at the back of your modules.

We got into the CLC Nursing program...now what
if you don't mind my asking, why do you need a voice recorder?
-
We got into the CLC Nursing program...now what
they changed it to %100 and didn't correct the modules. you'll find lots of typos and mistakes that they've never fixed. they want %100 because med dosage calc. is one of the top nursing mistakes.

We got into the CLC Nursing program...now what
bring the handbook, a pen, monetary payment for drug test (i think it's $30) and a full bladder.

We got into the CLC Nursing program...now what
i wouldn't tote all of the modules around. no one in our class did. it's way too heavy to carry in addition to books.
