  1. We have had some FF Seekers that have threaten physical harm to the staff, and a few that have cause physical harm. Our hospital has filed a protection in the courts against these people and they are not allowed on the property and have been removed from the property several times by security or the LAPD. Makes me feel good that our hospital has our backs.
  2. Nope not from Canada, just worked all night and when it asked about a flag under profile I thought of CA as California. Sorry for any confusion.
  3. Thinking about how sad it is in the USA today that we provide free medical care for all these folks who have never worked a day in there life, but when it comes to the elderly who have worked everyday of their life can't even get their prescription medications or have to pay out large amounts just to get a little bit of medical coverage. Although the free medical care we provide to non working baby making machines, I call it the American Express Card that we provide to the folks who have never worked really isn't free you and I pay for their free medical care. I would rather pay for my parents medical care then for someone who comes in saying I don't have tylenol or motrin at home for my kids while pointing their newly put on fingernails or calling on their cell phones or having that pack of ciggs in their pockets, when my parents who have worked all their lives and should be living the best days of their life won't even turn on the air in their home because of the cost and not being able to afford medical care or medications!! If they had to pay a nice co-pay for non-emergancy visits to the ER then we could really see the people who really need emergancy care. Sorry just venting and wondering how everyone else feels about this sitution??

Abuse With The Taxi Vouchers At My Hosp Has Lead Us To No Longer Give Them Out, When An Abuser Asks For A Voucher We Tell Them We No Longer Have That Program Because Of Abuse To The System. We Will Give Them To The Elderly And Legit Person Needing Them. We Had A 23 Yr Old Gal One Time Demand A Voucher (she Was There Visiting Someone In L/d) When Questioned Found Out She Was A Visitor Not Pt, Stated No Way Home And No Money The Nursing Supp Came And Talked With Her (she Was Making A Scene) Decided To Not Help Her Out And I Proceeded To Watch Her Go To The Atm In The Hosp And Get Money Out And Call A Taxi For Her Self, This Incident Changed Our Policy On Handing Out Vouchers To Just Anyone.
  5. MY BABY HASN'T HAD A BM IN TWO DAYS!! COULD YOU DO A DRUG TEST ON MY 14 Y.O.! FEVER: TEMP IN TRIAGE 98.8!! FUSSY BABY!! NEED A PRESCRIPTION FOR TYLENOL AND MOTRIN! I CALL THESE SPS (STUPID PARENT SYNDROME):trout: 11
  6. The truth be told is that this patient did not die in the er waiting room or the hospital at all, the patient had a warrent out for her arrest and the LAPD handcuffed her and placed her in their car where she died as they were leaving the parking area. I know this to be the truth as the MD that witnessed the LAPD taking this patient to their car was in the parking area as they placed her in their car. Now the truth is the city never wanted this hospital there the government placed that hospital in that area to serve those needing patients, now the city will bulid the condo's that they have always wanted. The patients that needed that hospital will now die on their way to another hosp. 45-60 mins away. This hosp. served the area that needed this hospital the most. I do not approve of the pt laying out on the floor of the waiting room and people walking right over her to clean or step over her, everyone that was there that day was guilty of inhumanity of that pt. I think we will be seeing more er's and hospital's closing due to the abuse of the medical system in this country, but that is another subject. Jo
