  1. i guess it depends upon who calls it me, but alot of collegues i work with tend to use these words. i only tend to use it in work again if its to a patient feeling upset or needs some friendly words.
  2. no i would not chick its not worth the drop there will be pleanty of other oppertunities with better money xx
  3. well chick as far as i acn tell you from what i read up when i was training, they dont always take maths into account if you have good social skills and a caring personality with good abitions to go far the uni's will give you a chance and there are certain hospitals that will train you on the job instead of uni but you still get lots of reading papers to write and exams the same as uni its just a little bit more hands on, hope this info has helped a little bit take care x x x
  4. plaese dont let it get you down, i think by reading what you have wrote that you will be very sucsesfull and think you can teach the other nurses how to gain their confidence more. i have just been promoted and i love the job now but at first i was realy worried i would be a let down. take care chick
  5. yes but does not do the same as us i get left to co-ordinate whereas she is not allowed to do the so why should us d grades be paid less than a less quallified e grade?? sorry about the rant its just very annoying x x
  6. hi have a huge problem, my mate at work used to be a agency nurse came to do a placement with us at the hospital where i work she was then asked to join us full time, she accepted and has been recruited as an e grade now i am only classed as a d grade yet i am higher qualified i can canulate and she cant and i can administer iv drugs where as she cant either can anyone help as to why she has been made higher graded?? thanks macenna x x x x
  7. lets put it this way out the 3 years i have been nursing i have always had to do 12 hour shifts some are 13 or 14 hours. bad news really sometimes!!! need to be a bit shorter x
