  1. Okay - I was told that the exit exam covers Renal, OB, Leadership, and Diabetes most. The other topics are in the test but not as concentrated. Don't forget to study drug administration etc. Also, I do not know what books you are studying out of but if they are part of the Elsevier Evolve system and have study disks with them, use them for quick reviews. I also have a Sylvestri Nclex-RN Examination book. This covers everything and in detail. It is also part of the Elsevier program. Great studying tool for exit exams and nclex exams. The instructors at the college said that this book is the closest they have seen to the national NCLEX exam. Hope this helps anyone who is trying to study for exit exams. What other stipulations does your college have if you don't make an 850? Legally, they cannot keep you from graduating but you will have to get an attorney. Hesi Exit Exam is an outside vendor. It is for pass rate information for the school only. The school should offer another way to graduate. Ours, we have to show we are enrolled in a KAPLAN course which may I add is over $400 to take for a 4 day class.
  2. Double check with the director of your nursing program. Discuss your concerns. Our college allows us to show proof of an NCLEX prep class to get us past the lesser than 850 score and still graduate. Hope this helps. I can't imagine going to all the prerequisite classes, 2 years of nursing classes with an A or B average and not get to graduate just because of an outside vendor's curriculim.
  3. Our college has the students take the hesi exit exam 2 times. 850 or better has you a graduation degree. If you do not pass the 2nd time around, you have to show proof of taking an NCLEX preparation course. If that has been done, you graduate. I'm taking one this year during the last semester to have all bases covered.
  4. Goodness! Glad ours give us another chance! Two days ago, I made a 845 out of needing at least an 850. Some made less than 500 and some above 1100. 5 points away was just devastating! I've cried off an on. Now I'm scared of my final exam because it's over the past 2 semesters. We get another chance to take the exam, but if we don't pass the 2nd one, we have to take a summer class. That will put a big damper on my externship at the hospital. If anyone has taken the 2nd one, please let me know if it's the same exact test. I've heard rumour at school that the past 5 times given, it has been the exact same test. That would be too cool because I remember 96 test questions from this one. There were only 110 questions.
