Hi all, When looking for a nursing program, what are the criteria to finding ones that are accredited? I want to apply for LVN- RN program. I am in northern Calif. - not as many school available as in SoCal. Do they have to be NIH (Nat'l Institute of Health) accredited? What other accreditation should they have? Does accreditation differ by state, or is it the same nationwide? Any help appreciated, it's confusing out there! :monkeydance:

Hi, I'm new here! I am taking nursing pre reqs right now in northern California. If I don't get into the program because there are so many students waiting to get in, I will have to wait until next year. I am considering other fast track colleges in northern CAlif. around the Sacramento area. Any ideas on good schools in that region? Anyone heard of Unitech College? I read here that LanaBanana says that even if a school says it is accredited they may not be. That's scary! How do you know for sure? Other than NIH, what other accreditation should the schools have?
