  1. Spiderella. I am unable to send PM's so I just wanted to thank you for your advice. I was wondering if I could have your full name so that I can use you as my referral and hopefully get you some sort of bonus. I know we can all use the money. I contacted a few of the agencies you recommended and I am keeping my hopes up for something good. I will let you know if and when I get an assignment. Thanks again.
  2. Does anyone know if hospitals in Portland are using travel nurses or registry nurses? I am an ER nurse with 2+ years of experience as an RN and 4 years experience as an EMT. I would love to know the names of the hospitals if any and the agencies they are using. Thanks in advance for the insight.

  4. hi. I too am looking in the seattle area for travel nursing/agencies. I am wondering if you found out any information? So far, I haven't had a lot of luck. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  5. I worked in the ER in several of the hospitals in Atlanta and do not know of any travelers. I can tell you which hospitals I had positive/negative experiences with. Just send me a message.
  6. hi there. I have been doing agency work in Los Angeles for the past 4 months and have really enjoyed it. The agency I work for is ProCare One. The truth is that it doesn't really matter what agency you work for as long as you have a good recruiter. My recruiter is Christian Fairing. She is amazing. I would be more than willing to give you her contact info. if you want. I have also worked for several hospitals in the area, mostly downtown. I work ER, so it may be a little bit different for med-surg. I have worked at White Memorial, Beverly Hospital, Little Company of Mary in Torrance and San Pedro. I have friends that have done work at Cedar's Sinai, St Vincents, California Hospital, UCLA and Santa Monica-UCLA and they have all had good things to say. As far as housing in concerned, it really all depends on the agency. you should discuss with your recruiter what the housing arrangements are. Make sure that you can change apartments if you are unsatisfied with the place you are assigned. As far as pay and hours are concerned that is up to your individual contract. You need to make sure that it is stated in writing that you want 3 shifts per week. Also, pay is often dependent on years of experience and I would recommend contacting a few agencies and up front ask them what they pay for a typical 13-week assignment. I hope this info helps. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions.

I am also looking for positions in Phoenix, AZ. I have found that the Banner Hospitals are hiring travelers but can't tell you which are good. Are you going with a particular agency and if so I would love to know who and if you have been satisfied with them. Good Luck
