ADON responsibilities
I am an ADON at a SNF in West Michigan area. I have been here several years and have seen several DON's come and go. Have been offered the job but do not want it. My Question is I have over 20 years experience and am making 25.00 an hour. Is this the norm for my area not sure? Also I am now being expected to take call on week ends which I don't mind but am not being paid for it unless I come in. Then my normal wage. I can get 1 or more calls during the night . I was told no ADON gets paid for this responsibility. I am not salary. Feeling taken advantage of any comments or advice? Thanks

Considering case management job
I am an experienced RN ( 25 years) Home Health , Psych, LTC and management at SNF. I live in Michigan and have an interview with BCBS coming up. This is a work at home job . Does anyone do this sort of case management? What are pros vs cons? I have pretty good computer skills but more I could learn, and am willing. The job is stated to be 40 hours is this realistic? I was told I would be provided a laptop and other equipment necessary , I would need a separate space for work with a locked door due to privacy concerns. (Seems reasonable) Is the router wireless? Can I move my laptop to other areas of house if necessary when privacy would not be compromised? Lots of questions and would appreciate any comments. Thanks

ADON week end shifts
I was a charge nurse at a LTC facility and have been promoted to ADON. I am still expected to work every other week end. I would like to get off the week ends except to possibly rotate call with DON and MDS nurse. Do ADON typically work week ends?
