Hi nurses, I recently heard this rumor by a friend who works in a facility. it is said that the purpose of this is to ensure that everyone hired to a hospital or facility has at least a BSN and not ADN. has anyone heard something like this??? If this is started will it affect the nursing occupation??? what will happen to students who graduate with ADN degree?? will they be hired or not... the future seem breek....
  2. Hi nurses, i keep hearing rumors that the ASN degree is going to be abolished or cancelled. how true is this and if its true whats going to happen to schools accredited by NLN with the associates degree.

Hi Nurses, I live in Rockland County and i plan to work in the City(NYC) when i graduate, my question is, is it a good decision?? will transportation be a problem??? will i get to work on time always???   9. Yea thanks but if am offered a salary position, can i ask to be changed to hourly rate? would they change my pay status? or can i simply ask if i get paid overtime? Am willing to work overtime even if i have to work 5 days overtime.... thanks
  10. Hi Nurses, I wanted to know if nurses get paid by the hour or by salary. Do nurses get paid overtime if they have to work overtime irrespective of being paid on the hour or by salary? I heard if you get paid salary, you are not entitled to overtime pay. That's why nurses hate working overtime, is this thought true? Thank you
