  1. Hello, I am a new nurse and am looking to obtain a quick head to toe nursing assessment form that I can carry around with me. I am on a Med-Surg/Oncology floor where there is also a lot of patient care for hematology patients (especially sickle cell). If anyone has a checklist or form/ cheat sheet, I would greatly appreciate it. Also, any general advice is appreciated. Thank you!
  2. Hello, I am getting my BSN in Nursing. I am interested in getting an Operating Room position and am wondering if there are any perioperative training programs for new grads in Oregon? Or how does one find out about them? Thank you.
  3. Hello, I am a nursing student doing a project on general skin cancer. I am supposed to give 3 nursing diagnoses. My care plan book has almost 20 nursing diagnoses, and I am unsure which ones to pick. I have chosen impaired skin integrity as one. Also, is it possible to breakdown nursing diagnoses into primary, secondary, and tertiary stages? My group wants me to do that and I am not sure how?? Any help is appreciated Thanks, Sara
  4. I am often told there are no stupid questions. However, I often find the teacher responding to me in a condescending tone that implies my question is stupid. Does this happen to anyone else??!?
  5. Hello, I am wondering how nurses get experience in the specialties that they choose? Does one start doing Med-Surg in the first year after nursing school and then get a foot in the door somewhere? Or do you have to do an internship to get experience? Thank you, Sara :redpinkhe
