I understand what you are saying about it being expensive, but trying to get into any kind of nursing program these days is near impossible. You will be on a waiting list for years. So for people who want to get their license quick, and without years of wait, then paying the money is well worth it . FYI: for the RN program that they are putting in at Apollo you get your associates degree, same as community college, just costs more more money!

The Apollo program costs about $20,000. If you have credits that transfer in it will be a bit less. I am a student there and so far I really like it. The instructors are experienced and friendly. I should also add that Apollo is working on getting an approval for their LPN program to be switched to an RN program. So it just depends on if you have the patience to be on a waiting list for a long time to get into a LPN or RN program somewhere else (like a community college) or if you want to pay more money. Honestly, the education is the same as a community college. I hope that helps you

Are you in Oregon? I am currently a student at Apollo College and I am finding it to be a very good program. Lots of wonderful instructors and the clinicals are at reputable sites. I recommend this program, plus Apollo has been around the longest out of all the vocational schools. They have a good reputation for their pass rates. It's spendy however. Lpn jobs are becoming more plentiful here. You'll have no problem getting a job after graduation. There are bridge programs through PCC that you can get into as long as you have their prereqs. all out of the way (the classes from Apollo don't transfer), and 1000 hours of clinical experience. They let you test to see where you fit into the second year of their program. I have done my research on all this stuff, so if you have any more questions feel free to ask.

Does anyone know how the financial aid process works at ISU? Do you have to pay out of pocket for it? How do the clinical work?

Does anyone know if Oregon excepts it? Can you get finacial aid to go through that program?

Is this an LPN to RN program you are refering to? If so is it all online? Also, where is Lower Columbia? I live in Portland. Do you have to go to the campus for orientation? Thanks!!
