  1. A lot of discontent has been brewing at OCU.
  2. I was told about 12k a semester but my bill is showing 13,500 for the '09 semester. btw, don't expect much in grants or scholarships. Its just a big marketing tool for the university. You may get a couple thousand a year, but as you can already tell, that is barely a dent in the $54k tuition excluding supplies and books. The same goes for any other college at OCU.
  3. "kramer is rated in the top 10% of nursing schools " this is solely based on nclex-rn pass rate statistics. statistics taken at front end face value can lead to a false understanding. i'm just worried about the underlying factors that contributed to this high pass rate. thanks for the replies. i was going to give it a shot at ocu either way. it's only natural that i will have concerns over any program.
  4. I absolutely hated math. Only after completing several advanced math courses at a university I learned to enjoy it. Now, I feel that it has greatly contributed to my knowledge of the world and to abstract thought. But eh, it destroyed my GPA so no OCCC nursing school for me. hehe.. if only i finished my degree, i bet i could get in much easier with a bachelors even with a low gpa. Gotta learn to play by the rules i guess
  5. Has anyone heard anything about Kramer school of nursing? I'm attending this fall but I'm worried because I've heard that they are pretty adamant about booting the students they think may hurt their records since they are aggressively promoting their program. I've also heard that the Dean especially makes an attempt to fail students that she believes will not be good representatives of Kramer. I'm worried that I'm being a sucker by paying them money to fail me. It seems like they have the incentive since its a lot of tuition money that I can't get back.
  6. So why do I never read or hear about the real heart of the issue involving the so called nursing shortage? Is the corporate machine just to big in media and politics? Well..of course it is. Thats what happens when there is a lack of community. Even in the local nursing paper, there is a lot of pumping for school funding. How can there be so many metro areas across the country pumping hundreds and hundreds of graduates in each metro and everyone still believes there is a severe shortage due to a lack of graduates?
  7. So I'm not getting in with a 3.0 retentive and 10 preference points, am I?
