Hi, My name is Kim. I have a wonderful 3 year old son and 2 foster sons ages 12 months and 8 months. I live in the Oklahoma City area and I am currently working at a bank. I am really wanting to get into an LPN program and eventually become an RN. It seems I will have to quit my job to attend the schooling since the classes are during the day. I am taking medical terminology right now and that seems like a tough class. Does anyone have any recommendations as to what I can do in the medical field to earn an income while attending the LPN program. Also how hard is it to get into these programs and what school in the Oklahoma City area does anyone recommend? Thanks and I look forward to all the helpful advice.

I also called and they would not tell me any information on the phone. According to the oklahoma board of nursing website, they have a low success rate compared to other schools. http://www.ok.gov/nursing/nclexpass.pdf They would not tell me the cost of the program or anything about the test to get in. I read on here that it is almost $17,000.00. Is this also for the LPN program? How long have others been trying to get in at the local vo-techs?
