No, you should orient until you are comfortable being on your own. Do not let your units staffing problems put you in a position where you could make a mistake. tricia

hi, i am tricia. i am from ohio and i have been a lpn for 13 years. i went right out of high school and was a nurse at 19! i have done all sorts of work and i am currently working on a psych unit. i love it. i am pursuing my rn through excelsior. i feel lpn's get treated differently than rn's and that is the only reason i want my rn. i feel i can do most anything a rn can but do not get the respect they do. also, i have always wanted to work in ob. i am mom to 4 awesome kids, married as long as i have been a nurse! i hope to gain a lot from this site, as this is my first few dys viewing it! oh yeah, i also own a build your own stuffed animal business where people can stuff their own animals right in their home, or anywhere else! feel free to check out the website www.webestuffinworkshops.com tricia

I was wandering aproximately how long it takes to complete the excelsior program? Or actually how short? What is a realistic time frame that this can be completed in? Thanks!

Congrats. I am ready to take concepts 1, at least I think so. I hope I am not over confident. I am solely using College Network guides to study. Any advice?

It says on the excelsior web site that if you are a LPN you can skip concepts 2. Has anyone done this?
