1. Hello rN dude! Sorry it took so long to get back to you! I haven't checked allnurses in so long! The course at CSUDH was intense, but the professor I had was amazing - her name was Dr. Outland. The course is doable as long as you put in your best effort. I received an A and grew exponentially as a nurse from this challenging course at CSUDH. I would say it will involve about a good 7-10 hours a week to do A level graduate work. Hope this helps!!
2. Hi RNDude2012. I think the classes are a good mix of memorizing terms and knowledge - you definitely have to know the material or you will be very stuck! First semester was 100% online. Second semester there are some clinical days for the Physical assessment course.
3. Hi! I just finished advanced patho at csudh. I loved it. It was so challenging and hard to be honest with you but I passed with an A and the professor was wanting me to do well and helped me succeed my professor often checked in, gave constructive feedback and was supportive. I put in at least ten hours weekly of reading and study for this course.
4. Hi, yes I am in too - I had wonderful first semester - it went way better than I thought it could go! how about you?
5. Hi, did you end up getting in "accepted" to the FNP program?
6. "Conditional acceptance ?
7. those are very good questions to ask for NP orientation -
8. that's a good thing to hear,
9. that's a good question
10. Wow Lv2learn, what a thorough update you provided on your experience! thanks.
11. Hi Lv2learn, thanks for your reply - I really want this to be a great program,
12. Hi EMEddie, I am doing the BSN to MSN-FNP and am conditionally admitted. Are you enrolled in the program too?
13. Thanks for your reply - I will send you an email at the handle you gave me - Are you going to the FNP orientation? Did you sign up already? I almost feel like backing out because of the conditional admit thing - I mean, if I don't have to go through the undue stress, I could go to another program with a better reputation! I still have a month and a half to really decide though. Have a great week!
14. Hello - Like many of us BSN-RN's trekking the long journey, I am enrolled in the "conditionally admitted" FNP program at CSU Dominguez Hills for the fall 2014. Anyone else soon joining on this journey or taking this journey right now?
15. Make sure you get a copy of all reports including background check and if possible, find out why they ordered the CBC and what they are looking for/plan to do with it.
16. Everyone here has been so helpful. I started with the women's prison 2 weeks ago and the mountains of advice are worthy! I was stunned after I was hired to hear what can happen to you if you report a guard for abusing an I/M. This is what terrifies me more than anything.. I worry that if I did get wind of someone being abused, I wouldn't be able to report it, otherwise my safety would be compromised. What does anytone think of this?
