Hey there.... if anyone can please help me... have run into a huge problem with immigration and am stuck as to what to do next. I got a job at cedars-sinai in LA - been here working for 2 months already. have my TN-Visa etc and all that I need, however when I went to apply for a social, after waiting for 6 weeks they told me they could not issue one - when they type in the visa number stamped into my passport, it comes up with the correct entry date, but the wrong name and birthdate. They sent me to the immigration office in LA (hope no one has to deal with that place!) who told me that the TN visa did not give me authorization to work, but to be here for buiness... I argued with him that the TN-visa and visa screen certificate was what I needed etc, and that I was therefore authorized to work... he still said I was wrong, and told me to fill out an I-765 form which is for application for authorization for employment - however when I looked at it, it had nothing to do with being here as a nurse - but for families of diplomats etc. So now I am stuck, and not sure what step to take next to get this fixed - even the guys supervisor was unclear of the whole TN-Visa thing. - The immigration person from Cedars is lost a well, and has never run into this problem before... Anyone else have this happen?? or suggestions of what to do? Please help

HELP... freaking out here as well.. seems to be a real pattern here. I write my NCLEX in a week... graduated from a Canadian univ last year - 4 yr program... did very well in school... but for some reason don't seem to be doing all that hot on the practice questions from Kaplan and Smith.... what were people getting on the practice tests before writing the exam.. I am stuck at about 70-73% ... think I should change my exam date or go for it? Been doing tonnes of practice questions... ugh.. just want to pass!!

Hey there.. new to this site, found it while checking out info about the NCLEX... so far has had lots of good advise. I write my NCLEX in 2 weeks, graduated from univ here in Canada and was wondering if there are any other Canadian RN's out there with any suggestions of what to expect. I have heard the CRNE is more difficult than the NCLEX... any feedback out there to calm my nerves? So far been studying lots, using the study guide from Smith and Kaplan... but still SUPER nervous... HELP
