I am looking at working in home care for the first time. Do you even get a break or lunch? I see that many of the positions offered through this company, as well as Bayada, are 12 hours shifts. I just can't fathom not getting away for a meal or just to get away from the job for a few moments.

What would constitute "failing" a background check? This does not pertain to me, but I read another posting where someone had "failed". I could see a felony or assault would be an example, but what else?

Not to venture off the real subject here, but I am a Real Nurse who happens to work in the OR. I have worked the floor, ICU, recovery, LTC, agency, psych, and some other stuff, too. I had to object to the REAL nurse statement, as I put forth as much as an OR nurse as I did in any other specialty.

You should know that taking call is almost always expected in an OR job, and time limits the distance that you can be from the hospital. How are you going to accomodate that?

I, too, am going to NC for an assignment with Liquid Agents. I leave this weekend. I will let you know how it goes. I was glad to hear a positive experience.

Anyone have any info on Lenoir hospital in Kinston? I lived in Hendersonville for 11 years, worked in Asheville and in Columbus NC. I could not afford Asheville but found a great house in country in H-ville. We moved to Charleston, SC, after all the kids graduated, and boy has that been a mistake! Great place to visit, rotten place to live (unless you are a gazillionaire and live on the beach). Anyway, I am beginning to travel and am going to Kinston on assignment. Anyone familiar with this hospital? I have been RN since 1992, mostly OR, some MedSurg, tele, etc. This job is in the OR. I miss my Mountains!

I have seen some older info here about Liquid Agents, but is anyone currently traveling with them? If so, give me all the good, the bad and the ugly, please!:cheers:
