  1. evie1424 posted a topic in Ob/Gyn
I've been an ob nurse for 19 years and have just accepted the position of ob staff educator/supervisor. I will be doing the annual competencies and skills labs but am looking for some other educational ideas. Also at the last hospital that I worked at we were constantly receiving brochures and pamphlets on nursing conferences but seem to receive very few here. Any ideas on how to contact different agencies to get on a mailing list? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!
  2. Trying going to www.medscape.com. You can read articles, review conferences and get your ceus for free. They have some really great topics, and they have a ceu tracker where you can keep track of how many you have and print out certificates anytime that you need them!! Good luck.
  3. Hello everyone! I am a supervisor/staff educator in northcentral west virginia and our hospital does about 950 deliveries a year. We are revising some of our policies and wanted to see what some other facilities are doing. Newborn documentation, what does your policy say on how often a well newborn has to be assessed and documented on? I can't really find an guidelines and our old policies have a lot of things that say "q shift", but that was when we were doing eight hour shifts, and of course most of our nurses are doing twelve. I would appreciate any input!!
