  1. Hi there. I am just wondering if you can give me a little information about how LPN school went for you. I am in school now for medical assisting because there is a waiting list for LPN's. They tell me I can get into the March (Spring) classes for LPN but I am wondering if it is going to be to my benefit or if I should just finish the MA program. I live in a small town and the only real opportunities here are in the medical field and then the pay is not that great. My sister works through an agency as an LPN and she works for the prison systems around the area. They pay her really well and all I can think about is how rewarding that would be for me and my 2 children. The agency pays no less than $20 per hour and the hours are not that bad. Sometimes she doesn't get off until really late but only because she decided to go back to school and pursue becoming an RN. I have an AA degree in Business Administration but its almost impossible to use here in this small town. I am a single mom trying to make the best choice for my family. Any input you can give me will be helpful. Thanks very much.
