took NCLEX today! i need support =(
I took my NCLEX today too, and felt the exact same way walking out of the testing center. Mine shut off at 75, and I also felt like every other question was on pharm (which is also my weakest area)... and I found myself guessing for the most of these questions. I'm also a nervous wreck right now, and not sure if I'm ready to receive my result... but let's definitely have faith and hope for the best! Good luck to everyone!

Interview at nyp- please help
Hi MrsGPR, I was looking at their website and noticed that all their current job postings are for nurses with experience. Can I ask how you applied as a new grad?

Interview at nyp- please help
Hi noni06, this has nothing to do with your question, but can i ask when you graduated from nursing school? and how you applied for a position at NYP? did you do it online? or did you send in your resume & cover letter directly to human resources? sorry for so many questions!

"The Jesus Factor"
jlsRN- It really depends on whether the patient or the guardian gave permission for the nurse to share about Jesus. However, the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations requires healthcare workers to offer spiritual care. In other words, it IS ethical to incorporate the "Jesus Factor" into medicine. According to the USA Weekend magazine poll in 1996, 63% thought doctors and nurses should discuss spiritual faith with patients. Koenig, Smiley & Gonzales's "Religion, Health, and Aging" (1998) indicates that half of the patients would like their physician and nurses to pray with them, and patients would like physicians and nurses to participate in giving spiritual care.
