The College Network
JDavis, The amount of work (and money!) can be overwhelming at times, but believe me when I tell you it is worth it! I saved a lot of money in the long run by going through TCN. I would have spent much more time and money if I had enrolled in the traditional courses, compared to what I spent at TCN. They have been a great support for me all along the way. Thanks!

The College Network
I just completed the MSN program through College Network in August. Using their modules allowed me to get through my classes quicker, and at less expense. They were also very helpful and supportive along the way. I would definitely go through them again.

What would you do?
Dear Scrubby, I am glad that you were there to be an advocate for the patient! Some people forget that healthcare is all about the patient, not the doctor!

Nurses...Miserable?
Jersey girl, I have been in nursing almost 30 years, and I still love my job! It is not easy, and I sometimes get overwhelmed and frustrated, but I wouldn't want to do anything else! Nursing school is a lot of hard work, but it will be worth it! To be able to come home at the end of every shift and to see that I have made a difference in the lives of those around me is a wonderful feeling! The first year is rough, but make sure that when you look for a job, you find a supportive manager and staff who will be glad to help you and be a resource. If you can't find a place like that where you live, consider relocating to Charleston, SC, and we would be glad to welcome you into the world of nursing! There are so many options in nursing, too. You can specialize in whatever you love, without having to worry about being tied down in one role. I have done many different kinds of nursing, but I keep coming back to my first love, cardiology. You have made a great career choice.

Nurses Week: what makes you feel appreciated?
i am on the nurses week committee at our hospital and i am looking for ideas that would express our appreciation to our nurses. what would you like to see at your nurses week celebrations? what kind of activities, programs, celebrations, or gifts would help you feel valued? nurses are caring professionals who are passionate about quality patient care, but we are also undervalued in society, and often unrecognized for the work we do, even in our own institutions. i want to make sure our nurses get the message loud and clear: we appreciate who you are, and value you for the amazing care you give, every night and day!!
