  1. How do you give morphine sulfate IV?

    We have vials 10mg/ml. For IVP I waste 1 ML of NS out of a 10ML syringe and draw back the 1ML of morphine giving me 1mg/ml mix. That way it can be pushed slowly 2-5 min and easy to give the right dose

    I finished BCLS PALS and ACLS prior to appling to the ER and got the job over those who had not taken the ACLS yet.

    Look into area teaching Hospitals like Hackensack, or Newark University, or NYC and see if any of them have a "New Grad ED internship". Most are some where in the area of 48wk precep programs. Learn while getting paid.
