If you submit an application to lvn to rn anyways with a low ktp score but tons of experience, do you think they will just reject you anyways? I'm just trying to know that kaplan is really looking for when excepting students.

I am an LVN in Los angeles, ca area. I graduated in 2004. I got married, raised a chlild and now would like to start working. I have never worked as an LVN and the only experience I have is when I did clinical during 2004 in school. I have been interviewed for jobs in med surg in the hospital, snf and more and they will not hire me due to lack of experience. They tell me to get experience and then they will hire me. hey give me that look of hopelessness and me being useless. I called my school for help and they simply will not return my calls. It has been a month trying to reach them. My main question is.....how can I even get experience if no one will hire me. What can I do??? I am stumped! What happen to nurses can always get a job??? Someone please respond and give me advice on how to go about this. I am lost and have no more ideas. I am also close to getting discouraged. I do not want to just throw away what I have worked so hard for, my nusring license. I did not mean to take so much time off work and it just happened that way. PLEASE SOMEONE, ANYONE>>> ADVICE!!!!
