New grads over 30, are you having trouble getting interviews?
I feel for those who have worked so hard to get where there at, but have now hit a roadblock. More then ever we need to put God first in everything. I bet most people are seeking employment and have not even asked the Lord to bless them. We need though to seek His will first. Put Him first in everything. Get back to His way of life. To love Him with all our might, heart, and soul. Get back to keeping His Torah. When we do these things then the blessings will come...maybe not in the way we expected though

What is Telemetry nursing?
Telemetry is a good place to work if for no other reason the ratio is less....4:1. The patients have heart monitors which is great because you can see right away at the nursing station if your patient is having distress...something you dont have in med surg. Even with 4 patients though, you are still very busy. If you like cardiac nursing this is a place to start.

Cal factor
Is Calibration factor the same as "X factor". When I was a student going through my ICU rotation, we were titrating a med ( I believe it was amiodorone but can't remember for sure ) to maintain a certain MAP. We were using what was called the "X factor" . I cant remember the exact formula for calculating it, but I think it was something similar to the cal factor.
