  1. Yeah, apparently they are forcing all 4 year universities to only offer the BSN degree. I would bet PNC isn't happy about that since alot of students want the ASN degree.
  2. OOPS...they told me the wrong thing. It is the ASN they got rid of. You are right about the BSN. Sorry!!
  3. I just got out of an info session for IVY Tech in Valpo. They are starting a new program in the fall where LPN and ASN will take the same classes starting out and then the PN's will just stop and the ASN's will go on. You do have to have the four pre req classes, and you do have to take the TEAS test to get in. This is something new and will be starting Fall '07. I am not sure if this is state wide but it is for this region. Hope that helps....
  4. Hello. PNC will no longer have a nursing program. They are being shut down. I go to IVY Tech and am loving it. You can also go to IUN. Hope that helps.
  5. I don't have to take biology at all. BUT...I did take it the first time through college. It only helped a little. If you don't have to take it, you might want to skip it.
  6. I liked Psychology. My prof actually made it interesting.
  7. We ended up at the same place. My last test was over the CNS, PNS, and ANS. It was a doozy! I've read a little for next semester...but not alot. Not feeling it. =)
  8. Monday and Wed: Algebra 8:30-10 Tuesday and Thursday: A&P II 11-12:15 Thursday: Speech 6-8pm Friday: Lifespan development 2-5 Online: English 112 Wanting to get as much out of the way as possible
  9. Got ya...I am getting all A's right now...of course finals are this week.
  10. That's not what my advisor told me...so double check. I am in NW Indiana, but as long as I take the TEAS test by the April deadline, I can still apply and get in for the fall. I am taking a&p II this spring. Now, my advisor could be full of it, so double check. You are right..they aren't super clear on much.
  11. What campus are you going to? I am wrapping up my first semester and have registered for spring. The best advice I can give you is to get great grades in your four pre req classes. If you do that and do well on your TEAS test, you will have a much better chance of getting into the program. Good luck! =)
  12. I am taking Eng 112 A&P 2 Lifespan Development Technical writing Algebra 2 I will only have micro left and my pre and co requsites will be done! =) I am trying to get in Fall 07. There is a huge amount of applicants for 160 places though.
  13. I also left a very high paying career to go to school. We, as a family, are sacrificing alot of extras...but we are in this as a team. The kids are very excited that mommy is in school too, and we can moan about homework together. I keep telling myself that it will all be worth it in the end...but being poor really does suck....
  14. It is amazing how underpaid some nurses are. I left a career making 27 an hour to go back to school for this field. I know I must be out of my mind, but I am hoping it will make me happy in the end. Here's hoping...
