  1. I guess I am being stubborn but I do not want to repeat A&P I and II or micro. Here's the story, I started pursuing a nursing degree awhile bacck but in the process I had the opportunity to go into business for myself so I took the opportunity. Now 5 1/2 years later I find myself back at this cross road because of the ecomony. I had success in the business world. Wasn't totally happy because of the stress of working for myself and the pressure of making money. Plain in simple I was burnt out with the whole entrepreneur thing. Well, now that I have decided to close shop and get back to trying to get into nursing school, my sciences are now over 5 years old. I have A's in all three classes and it was a struggle to get those A's. I don't want to repeat the classes. So now the only schools that I can consider at TWU, TCU and Baylor because they don't do the 5 year rule. Am I just being selfish and screwing myself by limiting myself to just these 3 schools? I'm 50/50 on this and of course my best friend doesn't understand and all my husband says is " it's up to you." I guess I'm looking for opinions from those that can feel my pain....
  2. Thanks for all your encouragement and replies. Since I'm just now considering withdrawling it will be and WF since I'm failing the course right now. My teacher friend suggested I take it at the local jr. college and it probably be a little easier. It sucks but I can't take a chance of a F. My GPA right now is only 3.2
  3. well I have now failed two tests in statistics. Talked to the instructor and it doesn't look good. I will probably end up dropping the course and trying again next semester. I'm just so frustrated cause now I'll have to apply for the Fall 08.
  4. I'm looking for CNA or Phelbotomy training in DFW area while I'm waiting to b accepted to Nursing program that doesn't cost an arm and leg. Any suggestions? TIA
  5. Girl, youare not old. I'm 35 trying to make a career change. You shouldn't have any worries with that GPA. I'm worried to death ovet my 3.5. I'm praying and hoping cause I do not want to take any classes over. I'll be praying for both of us. Oh, I have two kids well three if you count my husband. I work from home so hopefully everything will work out when I get in cuz we need both our incomes as my husband is in school too.
  6. My mom said she saw this story on change 8 news. That to address the nursing shortage in the DFW area and the % of student admits to schools. That the hospital was waiting for some bill to pass in the Texas congress to start up a hospital based nurse training program. I have searched high and low and have not found this story. But my mom says she saw it last Weds. on the 5 o'clock news. Anyone else hear this story? Why was hospital based RN training done away with anyway?
  7. Thanks so much Laura! I'm worried about the readin comprehensive section cause I also suck on those parts....I'll be lookign over the site from now until the 27th...hopefully my nerves will calm by then.
