  1. Do not call for a letter from the PCNS stating you are unable to work due to Psych issues-2 hours before your court appointment!
  2. In our office we made a short list of physical complaints which includes chest pain, head injury ,etc. in which receptionists can refer to and interrupt me or another nurse, the list is taped next to their phone.
  3. congratulations! I just graduated this year (prov campus) and for Nursing 1 I had 5 weeks in nursing home and 5 wks in Med surg- Elmhurst Nursing home/Roger Williams Hosp.The first few weeks of class we had Lab days 2days a wk ( which were held in the nursing lab) and 2 days lecture-Not sure how the Newport campus would set it up.
  4. we have EMR in our office. For faxes, or any other document on paper we have them scanned by the receptionist/front office into the patient's EMR. It doesn't seem right to me to rewrite info from other documents.
