  1. I'm currently with Trustaff. They drive me crazy w/all the phone calls. Too many people to deal with. I would rather just deal w/one recruiter as my advocate. Couple other things, ask how much your hourly rate is after 36/hrs. Mine dropped to $12.99 (taxed) for the next four hours. Not worth doing overtime unless it's 20 hours of OT for one payperiod. Health insurance doesn't start day one, they never have the contract right, payrates and dates continously wrong. Just seems like nobody communicates there. With all that said, I do have two friends that are happy. Maybe I'm too picky. I doubt it.

Do you actually have to work when you go home for a few weeks?
  3. I personally would look into other agencies if you are only getting paid $25/hour. Do you have any idea how much they are paying for your rent? Decide for yourself what's important, make a list and start shopping around. Be assertive, your current agency my come around. You definetly should be getting no less than $150/month for the health insurance.
  4. If you're looking to stay in California,I've heard Emerald is a good choice. I've also read on this site a lot of nurses like Onward Healthcare and Access nurses. I too want to renew my contract with a different agency. I'm in southern California. A few things that are important for me would be day one health care and having to deal with one person at the agency. I'm with Trustaff now and there are too many people involved. Plus, it takes my recruiter too long to return calls.
  5. I agree with adding counseling. I hired an ADD coach. The best thing I ever did. I do also take meds, but my coach helped me recognize and figure out how to manage my specific symptoms. Do a search on the internet to find out more info.
  6. I'm currently taking Adderall but am curious about what you mean by, "is great for those who don't want that extra control?" What kind of extra contol are you getting from Dexedrine?
