  1. Hi, I went to Medprep. It is quick, easy and not to expensive. Here is the website, it'll answer most of your questions! http://medprep.com/ Good Luck Tonia
  2. I just started reading this thread today, I am not doing so well. We are in week 5 of 10 already and I have failed 2 20 point quizzes and 1 100 point exam...... My teacher just sucks! :angryfire We have subs for the next 2 weeks and they are so far so much better at teaching chemistry. I looked into dropping the course and retaking it next quarter BUT the only time that I would be able to take it has the same teacher, UGH! So I am looking to try to salvage my grade as much as I can. I have gotten all my lab points and he gives us extra credit(5 points at a time) for doing the questions at the end of the chapter. I have bookmarked the websites listed and also my library had the homework helper for chemistry so I placed a hold on it!! Ill keep checking in here for advice/help. Tonia
  3. Thank you for posting this! I am currently taking my pre-reqs and just received my financial aid check on Saturday. I have enough money to buy books and pay for a CNA course. The course starts next Monday and I have been putting off paying for the course. I am feeling just like you felt! The class is the perfect timing for me.....It is 4 hours during the day(when my kids are at school). Maybe I am scared of the commitment. Just the thought of adding more to my load, I guess. But I know once I do the course I'll be glad. Tonia
  4. I live in Startup! Does Regency offer a CNA course? I am waiting for Marysville Care Center to offer their course again.
  5. I was born and raised in Monroe! I live about 15 minutes East of Monroe now(cheaper houses). I plan on working at Valley General when I finish nursing school!!
  6. I am in my first quarter of pre-reqs and considering taking English 101 online next quarter. I was just wanting to hear about other people's experiences with online classes. I know I want to take my math and science at the college, but english, sociology, etc online. How did your online courses work out for you? Thanks, Tonia
  7. This is my very first quarter!! Starting in Jan. I'll be taking Eng 98 and Math27. I am also excited...... but very nervous too
  8. I am going to be starting my first pre-reqs for Nursing School next quarter. I have not signed up for any classes yet, but am considering taking the nursing assistant courses first. Would it be too much to take the nursing asst course, and a pre-req or 2?? Or should I just do the NA course, and start pre-reqs the next quarter? I plan on talking to an advisor about it, but my appt isn't until 11/29.... and I am just curious : ) Thanks!
  9. I live in Snohomish County in a little town called Startup. It is near Monroe.... Tonia
  10. I was just wondering who is attending now? If so are you in pre-reqs or Nursing? If you attended and graduated, how'd you like it?? I am going to be starting my pre-reqs next quarter!! Is it hard to get into Nursing school? Any tips? Thanks, Tonia
  11. LOL!! I am glad I am not the only one who didn't know you actually use algebra in chemistry ; ) And I ordered the book you suggested from the library! Tonia
  12. Thanks for all the advice!! Ok I know nothing about Chemistry and would neverhave guessed I be using Algebra for it ; ) I am now looking forward to taking algebra. I know I'll do good at it, I was just hoping it would be one less class to take! Sounds like I'll be needing it though. I did start looking at refreshers and some of it was coming back to me : ) Thanks again! Tonia
  13. I willing be taking my placements test in about 5 weeks to see what Math and English levels I will need to start at. I took Algebra 15yrs ago in HS, and I did really good at it, but now when I look at it I have no idea what I am doing?? What is a good and quick way to re-learn Algebra?? Thanks!
  14. I am not a nursing student yet : ( In fact I just applied to ECC(Everett) yesterday to get started with my pre-reqs in 01/07 quarter. I see some posts say they are doing pre-reqs then applying for a community college, where are you doing pre-reqs at? Tonia
