HI, Ms. Suzanne and everyone Ok, here's one thing that I have to make a decision by tomorrow, and I need your opinion. Even if I've read all thread regarding to retrogression, opt and so on, I'm still confused. I work under OPT-graduate this May- , passed NCLEX and waiting for VisaScreen which about to issue for me soon. The question is ... Is it useless if I hire an attorney for my greencard at this moment because there's no visas(AOS) available at this point? Even if I pay to an attorney and discuss about it, he can't do anything about it? So, what do I do then? Wait until visa regulation changes as keeping F-1 visa? (Hopefully can work under CPT) Does anyone work with attorney about AOS recently? If so, tell me, please. Thanks

Hello, Suzanne and everyone! I graduated this May, and passed NCLEX last week. Since I'm U.S-educated int'l student, I think I can use streamline process. Can you check I'm doing correctly? I sent Academy transcript request form to my nursing school, so they send the form and the transcript all together for me. I asked certificate of graduation to my High school registrar office,too. Pa board of nursing will send my RN certification with the request form that I sent to them. And the Visascreen application form with $448 fee. While I was filling out the application form, I was confused about this: " Occupational visa information. Indicate which U.S. visa you plan to obtain from the U.S. government. H-1B, H-1C, 212®, tn, Permanent" Which one do I have to mark on it? H-1B or Permanent? I've read many time here saying that we,int'l nursing students, are not under H-1B visa, then...permanent? But isn't H-1B visa first step to get greencard? I don't know, especially these times. And I haven't got an attorney yet, so have no one to ask for this. Ms. Suzanne, can you help me on this? I always appreciate your support. Thank you in advance.

Do I have to write about my visa status on my resume,cover page, like I need sponsorship like that? Can anyone got a job here, and went through all these things give me some tips for me? Right, not working visa, what I was saying was sponsorship.(greencard) Yes, I'm still nursing student, and I applied OPT last month. Is it possible hospitals offer low saraly because they sponsor me? if they do, should I have to just take it when they offer me a job with this condition? Since I have no experience, I have no idea what my rights are. It might be off the topic,but what's the difference between non/union hopital in terms of nurses benefits?Thanks in advance.

hi, suzanne i saw this school web site, too. and i thought like you, it will be dangerous for you as well as the patient. your english skills need to be equivalent to a college student, not a housewife who is trying to open a bank account or make a reserviation over the phone. it's not just about korean students/nurses, it's applied to all nurses whose english is not their first language. i don't know what's this school program for korean nursing students, but it seems to me...farfetched. i was furious when i read, "the annual base pay for the opt will be $35,000, with opportunities for higher paying shifts and assignments." are they kidding? one thing i'm worried about is that. i haven't had any interview so far, but i'm worried what if any hospital takes advantage of me because of that. they've heard of this, they've seen this, and i'm korean who needs to get a working visa. well, i probably overreact to it, but it got me think so many things as a 'almost-grad-nurse.'

Hi, Suzanne. I have two questions for you. First, do I need to get CGFNS to take Pennsylvania state NCLEX? I've been taking BSN in Ga, and will graduate this May. (F-1 visa) Second, if I have RN license, and finished nursing course in English, whatelse do I need to go thru visa screen? I think I got answers to these questions here, but I'm not sure. Thanks!

Hi, suzanne! It's my first time to post here. I'm an Int'l student, of course, and I'll graduate May, 2007. The reason why I write this is... I want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Until today, I read your advice and information about all procedures after school, I was so confused and worried about everything. Since I don't know anyone who having the same situation like me, and my school doesn't know either, it was really hard for me to get current and accurate information about it. Sound silly, but I couldn't focus on studying because of the thought, 'What am I gonna do? What'll happen if I can't get H1B/H1C visa?' But Now I can concentrate on NCLEX than ever! F-1 visa, OPT, visa screen, green card, and endless....I learned a lot! While I was reading through from 1-46 pages, I was surprised by your patience and kindness: saying the same things over and over. I could feel how much you care of it. Thanks, again.
