  1. Does anyone know how much the tuition for USC is?
  2. Thank you all so much for your replies. Both of those books look great!:nuke: I am sure they will be immensely helpful!
  3. I am a recent grad and a GN working in a CV-ICU/CCU. I am enjoying it so far, though it does hold its challenges (of course)! Anyhow, I was looking for any recommendations for a critical care book that would be helpful to keep with me while at work? Thank you so much!
  4. Has anyone else experienced this? I have never head of this before.
  5. Does anyone know why there are only 3 CRNA programs in the entire state of California. I would really think they would have more...
  6. Cali- No, I am finishing up my accelerated BSN, and hope to apply to Kaiser and USC in the near future. I am a planner, so I am trying to gather any info and tips I can about these schools. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
  7. If anyone in this thread has been interviewed/been accepted/is attending Kaiser or USC, I would greatly appreciate any info you would be willing to give (what the interview was like, GPA, experience, etc.). Thank you so much!
  8. Hello Everyone! I am currently in an accelerated BSN program, and I have 12 more months to go! I definitely have a goal of becoming a CRNA, so I came to these forums in hopes of some advice. My question is, do you think my chances of getting into an anesthesist program are shot because I have a "C" in pathophysiology? I have an overall of above 3.7, but I am very worried about that C. I would like to add that the nursing school I am currently in is very highly-regarded, and very rigorous, academically speaking. I am not sure if the school you earned your BSN from is factored in the admission process. Anyway, any advice would be greatly appreciated! Also, would it be possible for me to retake the course and the new grade replace the old? Thanks again!!
  9. Hello everyone! I am new to these boards, but what a great wealth of information! I am currently in an accelerated BSN program, and will be graduating with my BSN in a little over a year. I am very interested in becoming a CRNA, and I was wondering what additional classes are required for school? Thanks so much!
  10. Does anyone know where in Texas any VA hospitals are located? Thank you!
  11. I found this site when I googled something in regards to nursing....I love this site! :balloons:
  12. I think both are great schools, and congrats! :balloons: They are both located in the medical center, so both will have access to the world renound Houston medical center. If it were my choice, however, I would go with UT-Houston. I am attending their BACC2 program that starts this May. I had actually applied to UTMB and UT-Houston for their BACC2 programs, and once I found out in early January that I had been accepted to UTMB's BACC2 program, I did not even send in my application to TWU. (Later on I found out I also got into UT-Houston's BACC2, and decided to go with UT-Houston). Hope this helps! Good luck!
  13. I have a question....I have done a little bit of reading on these boards, and have seen some people saying that some places will agree to pay a certain amount on your student loans....which I know means some sort of a commitment to them. Has anyone heard of any places in Houston doing this? If so, where? Also, how would you go about finding a place that does this? Or is it just something you ask them when you are interviewing? Thanks for all the help!
