Cardiac Nurses please help!!
I think you will do great. I started on a telemetry unit as a new grad...with 3 other new grads starting at the same time......we are now just into month 5 and all doing well. So, i am sure your experience will be more helpful than you are giving it credit. Good luck and I hope you enjoy the change.

Kaplan versus Nclec Questions
I took Kaplan before the Nclex and (THANKFULLY) passed the Nclex the first time. I don't think the questions were similar ....i think the content for Nclex is kind of random. YET, I don't think I would have passed without Kaplan. The importance is the way they teach you to answer the question....to determine if the question is asking for assessment or intervention.....remember the ABC's....teach priorities.....the three "pains" that are not considered psychosocial.......and MOST IMPORTANT THE WAY KAPLAN TEACHES YOU to ELIMINATE the wrong answers.......to find the correct. ....INstead of simply choosing what you feel is correct. This definetely helped me answer questions correctly even when I was unfamiliar with the concept or content. Hope this helps. Joanne

New Nurse/Need career advice
Thanks. I appreciate the replies. My interest..... the OR .....i think because my experience is in the OR and I am very comfortable in the OR. I am just worried I think I am more interested in the OR because is my comfort zone. The MICU...seemed interesting and a lot to learn....but exciting. The learning curve would definetely be higher.... but I could develop skills ....and gain experience in bed side nursing.I know is crazy that I DON"T KNOW...but I don't know :-(

New Nurse/Need career advice
Hi- I am a new nurse. I am having difficulty choosing my first position as a nurse. My old career was medical equipment repair in an Operating Room for the past 11 years. The two positions I need to decide between are..... OR nurse and MICU nurse....I know they are two completely different types of nursing and should be easy to decide. Any advice would be appreciated....thanks so much.
