That doesn't sound right to me. I haven't been to CA traveling, but I would think they should be quite a bit higher than that. Maybe check with other companies. Others should have access to the same hospitals.
  2. When I was a new nurse on a trauma acute care floor, I found it was much easier if I charted the second I stepped out of the room. It only took a few minutes and I could remember right then. I could easily move on to my next patient and didn't have to recall everything about 5-6 patients after I had seen all of them. This also made my charting throughout the day easier and quicker. Good luck.
  3. Ryan I understand what you mean. I would think that most critical care/ED nurses also have the same sort of feelings. Codes are where you get to use all your skills and judgement and they are exciting to be a part of. Death of a patient you have worked hard to try to save is a hard thing to deal with. I do not think ill of your feelings though some people in this field do not feel the same. Good luck to you.
  4. Look at Univeristy of Texas at Arlington

We have a 30' 5th wheel that we traveled to WY and CO in. Just make sure that your RV is an all season if you travel to colder states. If you have a choice get the larger hot water heater and couch long enough for you to stretch out on. We have really enjoyed ours and it pulls and sets up easy. Though we have no problem pulling ours, it could be pulled with a lighter truck. Best of luck to everyone traveling.
  6. That is the truth, Phil1968 but what about hypoxanaxemia
  7. DANSKO....besides being great for your legs and back they last for several years.
  8. Isn't the issue here that the med was given without an order and against the parent's wishes not whether or not the med is beneficial to the child. It seems that most people here agree that the immunizations are beneficial.
  9. In Texas it is a must to know at least conversational Spanish. Universidad Internacional in Cuernavaca Mexico has a wonderful program for learning Spanish quickly. University of Texas at Arlington has a program like an exchange program for credit through the School of Nursing where the students spend time in Cuernavaca.
  10. The bad attitude is secondary to the error that was comitted. I would be very concerned about the medication error and take this to another level.
