  1. hi everyone Are you guys excited for the semester? Get ready to get serious!
  2. Where do you live? I'm in the Sat class. I live in Queens and that was better for me. Supposedly, the clinicals are throughout the city and lecture is on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm. I'll pray for you. I hope everything goes well for you!
  3. I think a lot of students request the day program. If you really want to get in go for the evening or even the Sat class.
  4. yea hit me up. TTYL
  5. Wana718, Are you still interestedin the Sat class?
  6. I just got that letter in the mail. I already emailed Dr. H. Are you going to take the online class?
  7. Hey Wana718, My CPR card expired so I have to take the class again. I am waiting to get the tetorifice shot then I'll submit my medical info. I'm also waiting to register for the summer class. I sent you a message to add me on FB. Did you get it?
  8. Yea, it's every two years. I'm taking the class in Queens not at the school. Have you heard from them? Did you submit your medical information
  9. Hi, I'm waiting to take the CPR class. I'm going to take it 4/17. I'm not sure if they're still accepting applicant for the Fall. Did you ask the Couselor?
  10. When are you trying to apply for FAll or Spring?
  11. Hi, Do you remember the book that was used for the Medmath course?
  12. dtakouo, Thanks for the quick reply. How do you like lecture and clinicals?
  13. Call them to see what's up?
  14. Wana718, I received the packet in the mail today. It contained info regarding the CPR class schedules and info about physical forms. I have to recertify so I'll probably take the April 20 course. I paid the deposit fee already. So, now I'm waiting for the costs of the uniform and reading list. Call the college if you're not sure about certain things. I'm sure they'll be happy to assist you. I'm not sure about the price of the online class. It's only one credit, so I don't think it would be much. I have to fill out my fafsa form. If things go according to plan,I hope to have a car by then.
  15. Tagapitos, You're not far from me at all. Actually, pretty close. I took the E train to Lexington, transferred to the 6, got off at GCT and took the MetroNorth to Yonkers. When I got to Yonkers, I paid $9 for a cab. Did you hear anything yet?
  16. Wana718, Thanks :)Yep, I gave her my CC info yesterday. I'm waiting for the packet to find out what other expenses I have to pay for. Are you going to stay with the evening program? It will probably take me about two hours to get there and back. That makes that a 4 hour commute daily. I do work but I'm definitely going to switch to part time when I start the program. The first semester shouldn't be so bad. It's just the basics. As far as the schedule,to my knowledge, the Sat program, you have two days of clinicals in locations throughout the city. Where? Idk...and Sat lecture from 9am-1pm. Evenings, 3 day week with Two days clinical and 1 day lecture from 530 till 1130. Are you going to take Medmath online during the summer?
  17. Tagapitos, Thanks:). I'll be coming from Jamaica, Queens, without a car. Hopefully, I'll be able to get one by then. I'm really leaning towards the Sat. program but I got accepted into the evening program.
  18. Hey guys, I got accepted into the evening program and I'm coming from Queens. I wanted to switch it to the Saturday class because that would be more convenient for me. I was told I would have to wait for registration to see if anyone wants to switch with me. I hope so!
  19. Oh... are you being considered for the Fall semester? The test consists of Math, Reading, English and Science. The test is fairly easy. Just brush up on your basic math skills and also brush up on your basic bio, chem, A&P and physics skills and you will be fine. I took the test in Oct and I'm still waiting for my response. I was interviewed by one of the deans too. So, here I am patiently waiting. Good luck
  20. Has anyone been accepted to Cochran School of Nursing for Fall 2010?
  21. Congrats!!! Do you know of anyone who was accepted to the Day program yet?
  22. Hey guys, did you all apply to the day or evening class?
  23. Did anyone apply to Nassau CC for the Spring?
  24. WOW. The Chemistry class scares me. The other classes are ok. I don't have any sites to recommend. However, I do recommend a book. It's called CHEMISTRY, the easy way. It really helped me when I took it.
  25. Ok. Thanks. I'm going to the information session on Wednesday. I hope they don't count all the courses I've taken into consideration because that lowers my chances.
