I think some schools require healthcare experience when you apply. What kinds of jobs should I look for? I am not a CNA, which is what I think most jobs with patients require. Should I volunteer at a hospital?

What kind of GPA do I need to be accepted into a nursing program? Are there any programs in my area that are easier to get into than others? I am in Chicago.

How do you like SXU? I'm thinking of applying there.

I'm taking my prereqs right now but I was hospitalized for a mental illness two years ago. I'm on meds and stable now, so I hope it's not a problem or I will be depressed. It took me a long time to figure out that I want to go into nursing and I don't know what else I would do.
