Average # of admissions and discharges per shift
I work on a Telemetry floor on day shift. I see 1 to 2 discharges and 1 to 2 admissions per shift. Each admission takes 2 hours to complete all the paper work. Discharges are much faster usually. When you have a vent patient, one in 4 pt restraints going through alcohol withdrawals and another with a wound vac on a stage 4 sacral decub with MRSA, and finally 2 walkie talkies, how are we supposed to find time to do admissions and discharges.......grrrrr. I have only 10 months experience but i just have not found how to get it all done yet. Any inside tricks????

How soon after graduation did you take the NCLEX?
Congragulations on passing school. I personally took the NCLEX the very first date I could. I had to drive 2 hours, get a hotel, and spend money eating out. But in the end it was all worth it. Good luck to you.........we will keep our fingers crossed for you.

Took NCLEX-PN Today-Failed?
I am so grateful to everyone that has responded to my post. I am feeling much better. I am still very concerned but I am now better prepared to accept it if I failed. It is nice to know that I would not be alone. I just found this website not to long ago and it has become my lifeline for both being a student and taking the NCLEX. I will continue to stay in touch and encourage all other aspiring nurses that come to this site for peer encouragement. Good luck to all of you that are retaking the exam and congratulations to all that have passed. But I do have one question. Why does the testing website offer 48 hour quick results but if it only falls on business days then I must wait 96 hours that is cruel. It appears I will not find my results until Monday morning. UGH!!!! Thanks everyone Jessica

Took NCLEX-PN Today-Failed?
I was prepared to not be sure if I passed or not, but I am 99% sure I failed. I am so sick to my stomach. I could narrow it down to 2 answers and then I was stuck every time. But my question to anyone out there is If I got at least 15 (check all that apply questions) out of 85 (minimum) does that mean the test was trying to get me to get one of these right. I have never been good at those and the test just kept giving them to me over and over. I did not get one math question. I was the president of my class, I was awarded the highest GPA of my class 3.954. How could I be so stupid when I got in there to test. Has anyone else felt like this? I already have a job lined up and if I failed it will be gone. UGH!!!!!!!!
