CNAs are very disrespectful to LVN, that is me..
Yea its all about respect. Im a CNA and a new LVN, I been a CNA for about 7 years and the problem i had was the way a LVN or RN aproached me when they want me to do something. If it was a (could you or would you do this or that) when you get a chance (with a please or not ) also when you are done could you please give or do this for me. I would do it with no problem. but dont come and tell me or give me orders to do sometmething in a matter of fact with a tone. This one nuse irritated me as well as others because its the way she asked you to do something, one day she grabbed my arm and ask me did she do something wrong. I guess she seen the expression on my face and i told her the truth(she dont know how to ask for help ) she was a new nurse she wasnt aware she was doing anything wrong but she new not to many people liked her. She lighten up little i talked to the other nurses when negative words were expressed about her, they agreed about her beening new at giving orders and that made things not so hard for her or us. LoriRN2B was right i would of looked at you crazy if you were trying to give meds while Im cleaning or changing a diaper and i liked what Mel1213 had to say it made a lot of sence. See we(cna) have or own duties to do then we have to assist the lvn or Rn when they need help. We are all over worked. But let me say this, you would want your cna to like you,and be in your corner, respect you as a nurse, that would make your job less stressful and you know your patients are well taken care of.

So happy I passed
I took my boards oct 2, 06 and that was on a monday. I just got my letter less than a hour ago oct 26, 06 saying I passed. It really feel good when all your hard work payoff. I was really nervous because two weeks went by and i have not gotton my letter yet. I just knew i didnt pass so i went on line and read some where that if you havent gotton your letter in two weeks you should call the state board(Im in california)I called and because i had a feloney (when i was 18 years old) my results go to the enforcement unit. Well no one picked up the phone the first day so I left a message. I called back the next day and gotton some one on the phone she told me that my results wasnt even in the unit and she had to go look for them and she would call me back. I was thinking they wasnt going to call me back but she did and told me i would get my results by the end of this week and I talked to her that tuesday and today is thursday. I want to tell everyone that wished me luck and told me to keep my head up thanks. This fourm really helped me distress at a time when i was really feeling bad (after taking the nclex test) Gook luck for the ones who waiting. :balloons:

bridging from c.n.a to lpn
Hi, im in california and i have not heard of a bridge program from cna to lvn. If you take the lvn program at the community college its 18months and it cost about 435.00 a semester and we go through 3 semesters. Now if you go through a private school it would cost you between 18,000 and 30,000. now the ones that cost 18,000 the class is one year and the one that cost 28,000 western career college is 18 months. sorry i got to go talk to yyall latter

Took the boards yesterday
Hi, I took my test at 1:00 in Oakland, Ca today. I also got a lot of med questions. Some of the meds I got, I have never seen before, it felt like I was quessing most of the time. Im a nervous reck too. My headache just went a way. Although the computer cut off on me at 86 Questions I feel like i missed to many, thats why the computer cut off. I wonder did I get a lot of med questions because i was answering them wrong. I didnt get no math questions or no psy. This is why i am so stress. But look at it like this at least you dont have to go back through a 18 month class and also remember just because it cut off at 136 questions dont mean you failed. My friend just got her results back and she went all the way to 205 questions she felt really bad and just knew she failed but she passed it took her almost five hours to finish and all that dont mean nonthing because she passed
