  1. I am looking for an RN position in Denver and wonder what people thought about The Medical Center of Aurora. I am confused about there profile because it states is was established by nonprofit but then the last sentence Has the title of HCA which is a nation wide for profit hospital chain. In kansas city I heard only horror stories from nurses who worked for them. But on the other hand I have a family member who knows someone who says they can help get me in getting an ICU job there. I just graduated with a BSN and passed NCLEX and really want to work at a hospital provides a lot of support for new nurses. I am looking at St. Joseph (exempla), University Colorado, The Medical Center of Aurora. Any opinions on those three would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  2. I am moving to CO in the summer of 08 to follow my girlfriend who came to Co for Phd program in Co University. I will be graduating in May of 08 with my BSN degree. Can any one tell me names of hospitals that take on new grads and or have a graduated nurse program that are good to new nurses? I will be living in the boulder area if that makes a difference since I really don't know the traffic issue with Boulder and Denver. Also when do hospitals typically open up their programs for new nurses to apply? Sorry to ask this but I am from Mo and have no clue where to start. Thanks
  3. I get comments from my famale team mates but ehh. I don't call it a fanny pack a "murse purse". What I like most about it is that I have everything in one bag and I don't have to worry haunting for my gear before work.
  4. Keeping the peace is key but it that is not possible then its time to talk to head nurse of your unit. When I disagree with a doctor I and need to confront the doctor I typically start my say "Help me to understand .........." I use this when I disagree or not sure why they are giving them drug that may be harmful to the pt.
