Fastest state to apply for NCLEX
What are you saying? Submiting an application and application for licensure is just the same. I can not see any difference between the two. Ok so the states in the U.S. do not issue ATT as of now. But can we still pass our application for licensure to the bon of the state that we chose? How are we going to know if they are already issuing the ATT?

Fastest state to apply for NCLEX
Fil-RN thanks for the information . Ok Suzzane4, how can i obtain a SSN#? I want to work in California because most of my relatives live there. According to you, I should not consider applying in CA because it will me take a very long time. So, instead of me deciding for myself, I will let you decide for me. What state should I apply for my NCLEX? Please give me the state which has the fastest processing time and fastest to release the result, does not require SSN# and not a CGFNS state. BTW, can we pass our NCLEX application anytime we want because according to you, CA (I do not know if it also applies to the other states) does not issue ATT as of now to applicants who passed their application after the June 2006 NLE. Why is that so? Tagalog is not permitted Per Terms of Service (TOS) w/c everyone agreed upon signing up in this forum and remember that there are lots of Filipinos here who can translate whatever you say in Tagalog. https://allnurses.com/forums/f8/allnurses-com-terms-service-welcome-all-members-please-read-31788.html

Fastest state to apply for NCLEX
Hi guys I need your help. Before, i planned to submit my application to California (I even asked you if you have extra Fingerprinting card) for my NCLEX but after viewing some of the posts here, I would say that it changed my mind. Do you have any idea which states has the fastest application process (receiving eligibility and ATT) and the fastest to release the result? Pls, give me at least 5 states which have at least 2-4 months application process. I still really want to work in cali bcoz most of my friends and relatives live there. May i just know how long does endorsement (from the state where I have my license to cali) take? Thank you so much. :wink2:

Finerprinting Card for California
I live here at the Philippines. Does anyone of you has an extra fingerprinting card for California? I requested for it about a month ago but up to now I still haven't received it yet. I can not process my application in California unless I completed all of the requirements needed. So if anyone of you has an extra fingerprinting card for California, please message me. Thank you so much :wink2:

Just passed 2nd time -Here's My Advice...
May I just ask you a few questions? 1. What you mean is, you gave more concentration on how NCLEX questions were being asked than giving more time in understanding the content of the book that you were reviewing? 2. Do you recommend me to study the Saunders comprehensive book? 3. How did you study for your NCLEX? Thank you so much

New mommy passed NCLEX TODAY!!!
May I just ask you, what Saunders' book did you use? Is it the comprehensive or the question & answer? Congratulations by the way:wink2:

Pharmacology: DRUGS YOU ENCOUNTERED IN NCLEX
To all of you who passed the NCLEX or even for those who failed who wants to share your information regarding the topic, just feel free to post in this thread. Please help your fellow nurses who are about to take their NCLEX.

Lipincott or Saunders?
FutureUSRN, you must be good. How did you make it? Is it because you really know all the questions or is it because you became familiar on the way NCLEX questions are being asked? :wink2:

California: IELTS / TOEFL
Fil-RN thank you so much for the information but may I just ask you several questions. 1. What do you mean by "they make it hard for us foreign nurses"? Hard in what way? Hard in applying for the exam or the exam is very hard for us foreign nurses to analyze? 2. Did you attend to any review center before taking NCLEX? What book did you us as your review material? 3. If you waited for almost 8 mos. to take your NCLEX, how did you manage to recall all of the things that you need to know for this exam (assuming the gap of your review to your NCLEX)? 4. What is a compact state? I'm sorry, I really do not have any idea about it. How can I work in California if i applied for that compact state? As far as I know, you could only work in the state where you got your license. 5. Where can I find the TOEFL online reviewer? 6. Is TOEFL really easy? Why is it that many people say that it is hard to pass? Please find time to all of my questions. Thank you so much. :wink2:

California: IELTS / TOEFL
May I just correct you. Either passing the IELTS or TOEFL is required for you to work in California. I am not saying that it is a requirement for taking NCLEX. Do you understand me now? Anyway, what I am trying to say is wouldn't it be better if you've taken and passed your IELTS/TOEFL before going to California and take NCLEX? I mean, I have a tourist visa and I will surely take my NCLEX in the U.S. so what I want to do is to pass IELTS/TOEFL first and hopefully pass NCLEX because who knows, there might be an opportunity there waiting for me. Maybe there will be someone who could assist me in changing my satus from tourist to immigrant. You should always be one step ahead and not just stick with your NCLEX requirements only. I hope you get my point. By the way, thank you for the information you've given me about the Interim Permit at least now I know that I am not qualified to apply for it.

change my status
Does anyone of you know where I can find assistance in changing my visa from tourist to immigrant? I am a RN here in the Philippines (I just passed the local licensure examination last june 2006) and I plan to take my NCLEX in Chicago next year. I want to work in the US and bring my family along with me. Is there any possibility for me to change my visa status. Og course I want to stay in the U.S. in the legal way so if there is anyone of you who can help me regarding my concern, please find time to reply. Thanks.. By the way, could I also ask you how long does it take them to change my status and how much is the fee for this process. Thank you so much guys.

Lipincott or Saunders?
Hi guys I am a RN here in the Philippines and I want to pursue my career as a nurse in California. I haven't passed my application yet but I am starting my review at Kaplan right now. I know that it will take me about 4-6 months to receive my eligibility and another 1 month to receive my ATP. My review will last for only 3 monthhs which makes me worry that maybe when the NCLEX comes, i will forget all or maybe some of the most important things that I need to know because of that 3-4 months gap. May I just ask for for my additional knowledge or to make me really prepared for the NCLEX, which review material is better, Lipincott or Saunders? Which is easier to understand? Also what type of book should I buy, the comprehensive book or the question and answer ( w/ rationale) is enough?
