  1. Currently the worker can choose whichever fund they want. Working for public health the fund would be First State Super in NSW. The funds for gov workers charge smaller fees than the private and industry funds. I chose to go with FSS for this reason.
  2. When I lived in Brisbane working at the PA I lived on the north side. The shifts meant I was always travelling outside of peak hour, so the drive from Wilston, near Lutwyche Road only took about 12 minutes from home to work. This was if I managed to catch a few green lights on Ipswich Road. Actually it will depend on what type of suburb you want to live in. Brisbane is very widely spread out, so bayside suburbs can be 30 to 40 mins. drive into town, while inner suburbs are more densly populated and can be reached within 20 mins. Try renting in Coorparoo or Carina to start out. The rents can be reasonable, they're accessable to everyplace, and are 5 mins from PA. And yes, PA is a monster, only redeveloped in the last 7-8 years, like a small city.Hope you enjoy!!!!!!!
  3. [it will very much depend on your preferences.Experienced Psych Nurses are held in high regard, and the opportunities here are great. However as far as I know, there are always vacancies in country areas, with the concentratioon of services in Capital cities, the country ares are the poor cousins. So if you like a rural lifestyle, and the opportunity to travel and experience a new culture, the jobs are here. I believe the competition for jobs in the cities is fierce.
