  1. SPINECHO, what an inspiring comment/opinion. My hubby and i will be there hopefully this march for an interview. I am actually looking forward to see the hospital and get a feel of it.. thanks!! =spinecho;2581348]I work in the MRI department at Parrish I have worked there for 12 years. It is a great hospital to work for. The building is like a hotel. They focous alot on the enviroment and surroundings, they believe that a healing enviroment helps patients get better faster. Its pretty cool. there are still the same kind of problems you have with any hospital like communication and personalities that don't quite get along, but I wouldn't trade Parrish for the othe hospitals in the county. I was a student at Cape canaveral It was nice. My mother worked there as a nurse for years. Holmes regional was Too big and it is getting run down looking inside, I was just in there recently. I never was a student at Wuestoff, but thats OK. They never really seem to take off. They seem to be doing better now but people always seem to leave there and come to parrish. students never really like wuestoff. But, that's just my honest opion. you know what they say about opinions.Good luck to you I know this is a big decision for you to make. I hope youhave a great new year whatever you decide to do.
  2. TRAVELINJONES AND NURZ...:balloons:i really appreciate your input! actually, we used to live in fl (treasure coast area) and moved southwest a yr. ago and i am really wanting to go back there. We are seriously exploring right now and trying to weigh our options. he is happy and contented with his present job here but i on the other hand was happier when we were still in FL.Thank you so much for the input! Please... any input will be highly appreciated.
  3. hi guys! we are considering of moving to Tittusville florida. How is Parrish MEdical Center? How are the doctors over there esp. their hospitalists? How about the nurse to patient ratio? Is this a good hospital to work for? Thank you so much! any input positive /negative will be highly appreciated. again, thank you!

  5. agree with the above post.
  6. congratulations on getting accepted ! go for it!!you won't really know that you will make it unless you try... if it doesn't work then you can always go back to nursing.
  7. semisweetchick and nightngale 1998... THANKS A LOT for your inputs!! It will surely help us in deciding where to go. We are currently checking Presbyterian. We will see how it goes.
  8. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I would not recommend the facility. I have heard they are trying to close the facility but the community so badly needs it, that they are made to stay open. This is from a friend in the area. I hope someone chimes in who has first hand info. What is his specialty? There is a fantastic cardiac hospital in Albuquerque that might work better. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- nightngale1998.. is the above post for me? if so , i appreciate your input! his field is int. med./hospitalist. BTW, what is the name of the cardiac hospital that you were talking about? currently, i am with an outpatient cardiac cardiac cath lab and want to also explore my options. thanks again!
  9. tencat, thanks for your input.just concerned about the working environment at lovelace and how ardent operates. From what i gather Ardent is the new owner of the hospital. For myself, i will definitely check what presbyterian can offer for per diem nurses. nd_mom, thanks for directing me to new mexico forums. i did check it out and the info is a little dissapointing about lovelace.hopefully, things are better now that they have a new owner. huh! Making a major decision is really tough. there is no such perfect place to work but i hope that we will pick the best among the options that we have.:smackingf
