A kelly clamp is much larger than a hemostat. A hemostat is for small vessels and arteries whereas a kelly is used to clamp muscle, fat, bowel etc....

As an LPN instructor I wanted to wish you the best of luck. Nursing school can be what you make of it. You will have to study alot and remember that this is the foundation of your career so do the best you can and try to retain as much as possible. Instructors don't expect you to be perfect but we do expect you to be prepared whether in theory or clinicals. Good Luck. tm

Down here in sunny florida new LPN's are making 10.00-12.00 hr. in acute care facilities and 15.00-18.00 hr. in LTC facilities without the shift diffs and bonuses.
