  1. I keep my TV on discovery health channel, when my husband is not in the room, he hates it. Just wish there were not so many reruns.
  2. Kimhaw,no matter what the grade as long as it is passing you will still be a nurse. I have to remind myself of that when I'm not satisfied with a test grade.
  3. Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here is another set of balloons:balloons: I hope this is me in Feb. 07. I am already worrying about it.
  4. I have done a number of things but my last job was in retail at a bridal shop. I loved the job but I wasn't going anywhere and I wanted to do something fullfilling. I am originally from southeastern Ok but have lived in the El Dorado AR area for the last twenty-three years. My recs that I can think of right now are comp II Entermediate and college algerbra, psych I and II, diet and nutrition and finally A&P I and II.
  5. You can say that again!!! Nursing school has been a challange for me as well. I have a good support system with my husband and mother-in-law. If it were not for them I may have given up in the beginning. When I started I didn't know it was so much to it.
  6. I know that is discouraging, I will be taking the NCLEX in Feb. 07 I have purchased a book called NCLEX Made Incredibly Easy-PN,( it is also avaible for RN's) it is put out by Lipincott. I purchased it at a local bookstore. It has alot of helpful hints so far.
  7. Hey CAMeadors, you sound like me I always wanted to be in the nursing field but it wasn't until I was 43 that I finally made that step. I am going into my last semester of LPN classes. Are you going from LPN to RN or just RN? I want to go on to RN school but still have alot pre-reqs to get there, so we will see. Right now I just need a break.
  8. Hello from Eldorado, I am starting my last semester of LPN classes Aug. 23 at South Ark community College in El Dorado. I started Aug. of 2005 in the part time program,( there isn't anything part time about it) and am so ready to graduate in Dec. I work as a house keeper, this works out well I can set my own hours and time.
  9. Don't be discouraged, I have a friend in my class that is in for the third time, I have helped her by being a study partner. Often your study partner will pick- up on something that you may not have or you may have gotten something that your partner may not have. I do read the books and focous on the main headings and pick out the most important things. Often they will be at the first and end of the paragraphs. I also do flash cards and flash when I have any spare time even driving to and from work and class. My friend has maintained a 3.0 so far and we about to start oour last semester. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!
  10. Hi I am Bonita, from El Dorado will start my last semester of LPN classes August 23, can hardly wait to get it over with so I can graduate and have a life again.
