Aww, thanks very much! :) I bought the book at a Barnes & Noble, which means Border's probably carries it as well. It's a pretty small book (only ~200 pages), so you should be able to get through it fairly quickly, and the price is right ($22.95 is what I paid). Pretty soon you'll be changing your name to IamanRN! You can do it!
Pick the one that is most essential. If the patient is bleeding, he/she could go into shock and ultimately die if vital signs are not carefully monitored. Obviously pain causes a great deal of discomfort, but it probably won't result in a fatality.
Hey, WantobeRN! I just took the boards on Friday (and passed, thankfully!) and I found the following book r/t those sneaky priority Qs to be very helpful: Prioritization, Delegation, & Assignment (2006) by LaCharity, Kumagai & Bartz (ISBN-10: 0-323-04407-7) Definitely the best study tool I used besides Kaplan's Question Trainers. Best of luck to you! -M.
Hi Manders, I'm glad to read that there is someone else in exactly the same situation as I am! I wish that someone else could've responded to your post with a little bit of advice by now, but I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone! I have been searching online for resources on time management with respect to clinical preparation (where I really need the help), but all I've been able to find is information about how to study. Anyways, I will keep monitoring this thread to see if anyone responds. Let me know if you come across any valuable advice in the meantime! -m.
